Barnston has a special relaxed way about the village.
Just a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of Heswall, the Fox & Hounds has it's own warm and friendly feel. Remaining true to our origins as a country pub offering refreshment for those who both live in the village and are passing through. ‘The Fox’ has stood the test of time offering quality beer, food and drink. With a nip and tuck along the way it has grown in size considerably into the relaxing watering hole and eatery that we all know and love.

We have a quiet and colourful beer garden to the rear of the pub, offering a relaxing little sun trap during the warmer months. Our well maintained array of potted flowers and plants always makes for colourful surroundings.
Our pub has free WIFI throughout so please just connect to our "fox-guest" account.
We have a large free car park for customers with disabled spaces located near to the entrance.
Wheelchair access is available from the car park. By all means please call ahead and let us know that you are coming and one of our team will happily be on hand to assist with the doors should you need it. We have an accessible toilet on ground level.
Dogs are welcome in our beer garden as well as in our bar and ‘snug’. Please just ask a member of the team if you cannot see a water bowl and would like a drink for your dog. Feel free to make us the last port of call on your dog walk, dogs drink for free!
