We’re sure that most people aren’t thinking about Christmas yet but there are some organised folk out there who like to get things booked well in advance! Over the past couple of months our team of chefs have been working hard to put together a delicious Christmas menu for this year.
Our 3 course Christmas menu has been carefully created to include some new and exciting dishes alongside the traditional Christmas favourites.
Our Christmas menu will run from Friday 29th November to Tuesday 24th December 2019 alongside our normal menu.
Puy lentil and roasted root vegetable broth finished with vegetarian Parmesan and fresh parsley, served with Henllan brown bloomer bread (v, vgo)
Panko bread crumbed smoked brie served with candied walnuts, red apple & rocket salad and cranberry & port jam (v)
Pan seared king prawns in a roasted red pepper, basil and tomato sauce, finished with spinach leaves & crispy smoked pancetta lardons
A terrine of pheasant, duck and wild boar with a blackberry and pear chutney and toasted seeded bloomer bread
Chestnut and portabello mushrooms in a creamy sherry velouté with an oven baked rosemary butter bruschetta (v)
Steamed hand dived king scallops on a tenderstem broccoli and ginger purée with soy & miso dressing and caramelised cashew nuts (£3.50 supplement for this dish)
Traditional roast turkey crown, pigs in blanket, goose fat roast potatoes, wild boar sausage & cranberry stuffing, honey roasted parsnips, braised red cabbage, pancetta & rosemary sprouts and our delicious homemade gravy
Pan seared Gressingham duck breast with a confit duck, orange and cranberry bon-bon, dauphinoise potatoes, braised red cabbage, green beans and port wine jus
Savoury bread & butter pudding – oven baked butternut squash, sage, goats cheese and brioche bread served with Chantenay carrots, buttered leeks and tomato & herb sauce (v)
Slow braised shin of beef with rich red wine, caramelised shallots & smoked bacon sauce served with a bubble & squeak rosti and thyme roasted carrot & swede
Pan fried sea bass fillets, with a fennel & dill risotto, asparagus and savoy cabbage finished with lemon & stem ginger butter and Parmesan crisps
Caponata of roasted aubergine, black olive, red pepper, courgette, butternut squash and sweet potato finished with a tomato, onion and sage ragu, served with tenderstem broccoli and parmentier potatoes
28-day matured 8oz aged sirloin steak served with crispy fried onions, portobello mushroom, grilled tomato and pub chips (gfo), served with either brandy & peppercorn sauce or port & Blacksticks blue cheese sauce (£3.50 supplement for this dish)
Traditional luxury Christmas pudding served with brandy sauce
Baked vanilla cheesecake with a blackcurrant & cherry compôte with vanilla ice cream
Sticky toffee & date pudding with Cheshire Farm rum & raisin ice cream
Rich chocolate torte served with fresh raspberries and clotted cream Classic crème brûlée with an orange & cinnamon shortbread biscuit
Selection of Carron Lodge cheese served with celery, grapes, bread, crackers and winter chutney (£3.00 supplement for this dish)

Christmas party bookings must be made by telephone or in person ONLY, unfortunately they cannot be booked through our online system.
