Join us at The Fox & Hounds this December for a fantastic festive celebration. Christmas is a time to relax, have fun and catch up with friends and family, so why not do all of this over a delicious meal? With our festive guest ales, mulled wine and christmas treats, the Fox really does get that Christmas sparkle in the atmosphere!
Our 3 course Christmas menu has been carefully created by our talented team of chefs to include some new and exciting dishes alongside the traditional Christmas favourites.
Our Christmas menu will run from Friday 30th November to Friday 21st December 2018 alongside our normal menu.
Homemade pearl barley & root vegetable broth served with Henllan bloomer bread and butter (v)
Ham hock & cream cheese croquettes served with tomato & fennel relish Panko bread crumbed smoked haddock, pea & dill fishcakes with lemon hollandaise sauce
A terrine of partridge, pheasant & rabbit served with a port & redcurrant chutney and toasted bloomer bread
Garlic buttered wild mushroom bruschetta with creamy stilton sauce & roasted chestnut crumb (v)
Traditional roast turkey crown, pigs in blanket, goose fat roast potatoes, wild boar sausage & cranberry stuffing, honey roasted parsnips, braised red cabbage, pancetta & rosemary sprouts and our delicious homemade gravy
Savoury bread & butter pudding – oven baked butternut squash, sage, goats cheese and brioche bread served with Chantenay carrots and buttered leeks (v)
Slow braised shin of beef with a rich red wine, caramelised shallots & smoked bacon sauce served with crushed carrot & swede and bubble & squeak rosti
Sea bass paupiette with a crab mousse served with a lobster & dill velouté, grilled artichokes, sautéed spinach and new potatoes
Homemade venison & red wine pot pie served with honey roasted parsnips, broccoli and mashed potatoes
Oat rolled Christmas loaf filled with a medley of puy lentils, portobello mushrooms, chickpeas, and carrots served with tenderstem broccoli, roast potatoes, butternut squash pureé and a balsamic onion gravy (vg)
Traditional Christmas pudding served with brandy sauce
Baked cheesecake with a kirsch & forest fruit compôte and pouring cream Sticky toffee & date pudding with Nicholls of Parkgate’s rum & raisin ice cream
Rich chocolate torte served with fresh raspberries and clotted cream
Classic crème brûlée with an orange & cinnamon shortbread biscuit
Selection of local cheese served with celery, grapes, bread, crackers and winter chutney (£2.50 supplement)

Booking is required when dining from our Christmas menu along with a pre-order no less than 14 days before dining. Christmas party bookings must be made by telephone or in person ONLY, unfortunately they cannot be booked through our online system. Please call 0151 648 7685 to check availability and book your table.
A non refundable deposit of £10 per head is required to secure the booking. Please return the pre-order form to email@example.com or pop it into the pub.
